Job Description

L'Artusi is hiring a Junior Pastry Sous Chef to work with our Exec Pastry Chef and Pastry Sous Chef. The pastry team at L'Artusi oversees the dessert programs at L'Artusi and at our sister locations b'artusi, Via Porta and L'Artusi Supper Club, all located right down the street. Our pastry chefs oversee the entire pastry team, which currently includes 6 other employees. The Junior Pastry Sous Chef supports the executive chef in leading all aspects of pastry production and service.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Execute and oversee daily pastry production with consistency, efficiency, and adherence to standards
• Lead and participate in service, ensuring seamless execution, timing, and presentation
• Must   have schedule flexibility (including nights and weekends)
• Maintain the highest standards of quality, organization, cleanliness, and food safety
• Train, mentor, and manage the pastry team, fostering accountability and performance
• Spanish speakers are highly preferred.
