Job Description

Title: Electrical Estimator
Location: De Soto, Kansas
Division: Enerfab Power & Industrial
Direct Report: Estimating Manager
Salary Range: $130,000 to $150,000 per year

The Electrical Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for direct-hire industrial construction projects, with a primary focus on electrical scopes of work. This individual should understand Enerfab's competitive advantages and effectively communicate those strengths throughout the estimating and bidding process.

Key Responsibilities:
• Project estimating coordination with all scopes when leading an estimate
• Write Supplier and Subcontractor Request for pricing
• Lead electrical estimates and assign tasks
• Customer interaction
• Develop and write a construction execution plan as well as associated indirect costs
• Develop manpower loading chart
• Site visits and job preconstruction meeting attendance if needed
• Attend weekly estimating meetings
• Attend and conduct internal review meetings
• Attend and conduct executive review meetings
• Attend and conduct project turn over meetings with operations.

Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 - 10 years of estimating experience in construction with experience with industrial electrical systems
• Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent. Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or journeyman electrician credentials.
• Electrical construction installation knowledge.
• Industry knowledge in commercial, industrial, power, oil and gas, food/beverage/agriculture and/or water. 
• Experience preparing conceptual estimates, high- and low-voltage electrical estimates, design-build estimates, square-foot estimates, and unit-price proposals.
• Ability to understand construction drawings and specifications
• Familiarity with engineering design documents and specifications.
• Competence with the National Electrical Code.
• Experience providing estimate breakdowns to support P6 scheduling.
• Estimating software knowledge Trimble Accubid.
• Possess leadership skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to coordinate estimating efforts across cross-functional teams.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND EXPECTATIONS
• Some job duties are performed within an established office environment under normal lighting and climate-controlled tolerances. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
• When the employee is at a work site, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places and outdoor weather conditions. The noise in the work environment is often loud.
• Requires a consistent physical presence at the branch office to oversee shared services functions and employees, normally achieved by working standard business hours. Certain positions will require flexibility of working hours to meet the demands of the job and the direction of the manager.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
• Requires lifting, positioning, pushing, and/or pulling.
• Frequent reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds at times.
