Job Description

Responsibilities
  1. Plans and implements individual and group Creative Arts Therapy programs appropriate for the setting
  2. Provides case management to program patients
  3. Carries a caseload and coordinate Case Management as defined by the setting
  4. Assesses status of patients, assists patients in problem identification and realistic, disposition oriented treatment planning
  5. Follows patient’s progress
  6. Makes treatment plan recommendations
  7. Coordinates all treatment for caseload
  8. Makes specific program and treatment recommendations regarding the creative/expressive needs of patients
  9. Develops and implements, through documentation and protocols, the types of treatment appropriate to area of specialization
  10. Develops and adapts treatment goals and modalities for patients unable to tolerate group interactions
  11. When credentialed and/or adequately supervised, may conduct group therapy or other specialized treatment modalities
  12. Documents patient progress in a neat, clear, and timely fashion following the unit’s standards for documentation
Qualifications

Education Requirements

Master’s Degree in Art Therapy, Dance Therapy, Music Therapy or Drama Therapy. Completion of supervised clinical training at the graduate level in an institution certified or recognized by the specific national certifying or registering organization.

Compensation

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $55.0375 - $58.3424 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
