Job Description: Work with the Marketing and Communications Office, taking photographs of campus individuals, groups, and activities used in publications, displays, social media, and online gallery. Photo assignments include, but are not limited to, indoor and outdoor sporting events, concerts, drama rehearsals and performances, worship services, recitals, team and group photos, team and group headshots, classroom activities, general campus life, and promotional photos.
Tasks:
Employment dates: August 24, 2026 – May 21, 2027 (2026-2027 Academic Year)
Hours: Hours vary widely according to the schedule of events. Late afternoon, evening and weekend hours are most common.
Regular or Occasional: Occasional job
Student Life policies state: student employees may only have one regular job and may not work more than 19 hours per week.
Skills: Experience with digital cameras (preferably SLR cameras) is necessary. (Professional camera equipment will be provided for use during assignments.) Experience with photo-processing software is required. (Photo editing computers with the software are available) Must relate well to people to facilitate photoshoots with various ages and group sizes.
Selection: Personal interview, including sharing examples of previous photography and shooting assignments with a discussion of photos.
Salary: Tier 3 — $12.91 per hour
Benefits: Student workers are not benefit-eligible, but receive campus and community benefits through their status as students.
